Nice dealership ... Nice freindly staff
We came here for some parts for our car .... They were eager to help and exceed our expectations.... Also the electrical parts we needed were better prices then we expected
In for service, but don't expect to have parts like new, replace with new parts. Now I understand why it takes 8 hours. They don't want you to see what's being done.
Great Volkswagon dealership in Playa Del Carmen. Friendly and knowledgeable sales staff to get you on the road. The service department is very efficient and had our scheduled maintenance complete and car washed while we had tacos around the corner.
Brought in our Jetta Classico to the Playa del Carmen dealership for its 45,000K service. I'll say this the service bays look like a surgical suite. After having our front tires replaced last year we knew we needed new front brakes. Sure enough they caught that we had them replaced. Turns out the rear tires were also shot....cracked inner sidewalls just like the front ones so we had them replaced. I knew the battery was getting weak and they caught that replaced the battery. The 45,000 service included replacing all fluids and filters.......brake fluid....antifreeze....recharged the AC......detailed the car including steam cleaning the engine. Tires, brakes, battery plus 45,000 service 10,300 pesos...... charged it got 19 pesos per dollar...around 530 dollars. Great service!!!!
Please, expat community, DO NOT buy from the VW dealer in Playa del Carmen (aka, Autos del Caribe).
Our purchase started off well. My pregnant wife and I test drove a Jetta demo and said we'd take it. We paid the down payment and were promised the vehicle after only a three business days (for the loan paper procedure). It took TEN days for them to give us the car but we didn't sign a release since we were only handed one set of keys. After being assured the 2nd set within a day or two, we drove off. Six weeks have passed, and we have been given one ridiculous excuse after another.
Although that is annoying enough, my complaint is with the staff and the bafflingly unprofessional way they treated and spoke to my wife and myself after we had committed to the purchase. We were even taken to task for assuming a second set of keys would be provided, weeks later.
We are submitting a letter to la planta with a full correspondence of the sale (at great task and expense), which includes employee grumblings of unfair work conditions and pay, an employee-recorded video of the dealership's interior being breached by rainwater and multiple conflicting excuses, at every stage of the sale.
